Entry Requirements
Applications to Albion are individually considered by the Admissions tutor, and other factors may be taken into account. Our admissions staff therefore assess each application holistically and judges whether the content and demands of the qualifications presented have sufficiently prepared you to progress on to the course you are applying for.
Admission to our degree programmes requires:
- Recognized proof of English proficiency (comparable to IELTS 5.5);
- Current CV; and
- Copy of valid passport or national ID.
Entry requirements for Level 3 students
Due to differences in education systems, applicants who have completed one of the following qualifications will need to successfully complete our foundation year before joining an undergraduate course. We accept the following qualifications onto our Foundation year:

Entry requirements for Level 4 students
The University will consider applications from students offering a wide range of qualifications. The standard entry requirements for BSc(Hons) International Business Entrepreneurship at the Albion Business School are A-level: DDD or equivalent qualifications. This equates to 72 UCAS points. You may use the UCAS points calculator to understand the exact points you hold.
Some of the typical entry qualifications are listed below:
- Three GCE A-levels at grade A-C
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 PLUS one of the following:
- Three AP tests with an average grade of 3 or two AP tests with an average grade of 4
- Three SAT II (Subject Tests) with a minimum score of 500 in each section or two SAT II with a minimum score of 600 in each section
- SAT I (Reasoning Tests) with a minimum score of 1800 (600 in each section)
- ACT with a composite score of 26 (20 in each section)
- Dual Enrolment and College credits (1st Year) – 30 credits with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Equivalent qualifications as deemed acceptable by the University
To provide you further with examples of the types of qualifications which we consider:
- Where an applicant is taking the extended project qualification (EPQ) alongside A-levels, the EPQ will be taken into consideration and result in a slightly lower A-level grade offer;
- Applicants with BTEC qualifications are welcome to apply, including if you have a mix of BTEC and A levels. Equivalent A-level grades are also accepted;
- A Senior School Leaving Certificate with an aggregate score of “60” or “C” or “Credit”, or international equivalent;
- Students studying the South African National Senior Certificate with high grades will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate degrees;
- High grades in Tanzanian Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) exams will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate courses;
- High grades in GCE A-levels or ZIMSEC A-levels exams will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate courses;
- Applicants with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant area may be considered for credit transfer.

English Language requirements
English is our language of instruction and we require proof of your English proficiency. You can demonstrate your English proficiency with:
- IELTS: Overall score of 5.5 with no score below 5.0 in any of the four components
- PTE Academic: Overall score of 58, with 51 or above in each individual component
- TOEFL IBT: Overall score 80. (We do not accept TOEFL from applicants requiring a Student Visa, as this qualification is no longer accepted by the UK Visas and Immigration Department (UKVI)
- A-level/GCSE/IGCSE English: Grade C / 4 or above (for IGCSE certificates, please provide the Supplementary Certifying Statement with the breakdown of component grades)
- International Baccalaureate: Grade 4 or above in English at Higher or Standard Level
- Duolingo English Test: Score 95 or above
